ST. VINCENT'S HOSPITAL FAIRVIEW

St Vincent's Hospital, Fairview is a Section 38 psychiatric teaching hospital that delivers specialist inpatient and outpatient mental-health care for both adults and adolescents. Based just 2 km north of Dublin city centre, the hospital works in close partnership with the HSE's Dublin North County CH09 services, ensuring seamless community follow-up after discharge.

The adult programme includes St Louise's, a 30-bed acute admission unit for assessment and management of mental-health crises, and a six-bed Psychiatry of Old Age unit dedicated to patients aged 65 and over. For younger people, a dedicated 10-bed adolescent unit provides age-appropriate treatment for those aged 15-18. Care is overseen by consultant psychiatrists and delivered by a multidisciplinary team of doctors, nurses, therapists and spiritual support staff, offering comprehensive therapy, medication management and holistic resources. Outpatient clinics run by the HSE further support community-based recovery.
