The Pharmacy Benevolent Fund (PBF) is an Irish charitable organisation dedicated to supporting anyone who has been associated with the pharmacy profession and finds themselves in need. By offering confidential, compassionate assistance, the Fund helps individuals facing retirement, illness, financial hardship or unforeseen circumstances, aiming to improve their basic quality of life and restore a sense of security.

PBF’s core services include emergency financial aid, such as heating vouchers and registration fee contributions, as well as a confidential case‑working service that connects beneficiaries with pharmacist volunteers for a listening ear. The Fund also runs a mentoring programme in partnership with the Irish Institute of Pharmacy, and it welcomes donations, fundraising partnerships and volunteers to sustain its work. All support is provided with strict confidentiality and a focus on the unique challenges of pharmacy life.
