Care-After-Prison (CAP) is a national, peer-led criminal-justice charity dedicated to supporting people affected by imprisonment - from current and former offenders to their families. By drawing on lived experience, CAP creates a safe, understanding environment where individuals can rebuild confidence and navigate the challenges of re-integration.

The organisation delivers a suite of specialised services, including a Community Support Scheme, Peer Mentoring and Training, and targeted support both post-release and within prison (Inreach). These programmes are designed to foster personal development, provide practical assistance and promote lasting connections with the wider community.

CAP operates across the Republic of Ireland, but it does not work with individuals involved in the criminal-justice system for offences of a sexual nature, including those convicted, on remand, on bail, or charged with such offences. This clear boundary ensures the charity's focus remains on its core mission of compassionate, peer-driven support.
