SMURFIT WESTROCK FOUNDATION

The Smurfit Westrock Foundation is a charitable arm established in 2011 to channel financial support into sustainable projects that improve the lives of people in need within the communities where Smurfit Westrock operates. Guided by the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals, the foundation prioritises six focus areas - No Poverty, Zero Hunger, Good Health and Well-being, Quality Education, Gender Equality and Reduced Inequalities - and works closely with local Smurfit Westrock sites to ensure lasting impact.

Since 2012 the foundation has invested €18 million in a diverse portfolio of initiatives, ranging from accessible playgrounds for children with disabilities in Spain to health- and nutrition-focused programmes for vulnerable families in Colombia, and therapeutic horse-riding facilities for traumatised children in Germany. By offering a clear application process, the foundation enables community organisations to secure funding for projects that deliver health, education and basic care services, creating measurable, long-term benefits for those they serve.
