LACKEN COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT ASSOCIATION COMPANY LIMITED BY GUARANTEE

Lacken Community Development Association Company Limited By Guarantee is a community-led organisation founded in 2011 to oversee the operation of the local community centre in Lacken. The association manages the historic old school building, which has been repurposed as a vibrant hub for residents, offering a welcoming space for meetings, events and a range of local activities.

Acting on behalf of the community, the committee secured a 21-year lease from the St Laurence O'Toole Trust, ensuring long-term stability for the centre's programmes. Regular committee meetings, such as the one scheduled for 30 January, help steer the centre's development and respond to the needs of the neighbourhood.

Through its stewardship of the Lacken Community Centre, the association provides a focal point for social interaction, learning and community cohesion, fostering a strong sense of belonging across the area.
