Spraoi Arts and Heritage Company Limited by Guarantee is a not‑for‑profit organisation that creates and delivers large‑scale public arts events, most famously the Spraoi International Street Arts Festival. Based in Waterford – Ireland’s oldest city – Spraoi transforms the historic streets, walls and towers into a vibrant stage for three days of free performances, parades, music, dance, fireworks and street spectacles that attract artists and audiences from across Europe and beyond.

In addition to the flagship festival, Spraoi runs the N.E.S.T. (New Emerging Street Talent) programme, an open call that offers emerging and established Irish artists cash grants, mentoring, studio space and prop‑making resources to develop new street‑theatre works. The company also contributes to national celebrations such as St Patrick’s Day parades and has a proven track record of producing high‑profile opening ceremonies, exemplified by the “Awakening” event for Cork’s European Capital of Culture.
