THE MOOREHAVEN CENTRE COMPANY LIMITED BY GUARANTEE

The Moorehaven Centre Company Limited By Guarantee is a not-for-profit organisation founded in 1981 to support adults with mild to moderate intellectual disabilities. Based in Tipperary Town, the centre now delivers day and residential services to more than 120 service users and their families, drawing staff from across the region. Its day facilities operate in both Tipperary Town and Cashel, while four residential homes are situated in Tipperary Town, providing HIQA-registered accommodation and respite care.

Moorehaven's portfolio of services includes structured day programmes, education and training initiatives, day-activation activities, and supported work or employment placements. Funding is secured through the Health Service Executive under Section 39 of the Health Act 2004, alongside contributions from members, supporters and fundraising efforts. With a strong emphasis on personal development and community integration, the centre continues to expand its reach, aiming to enhance the quality of life for adults with intellectual disabilities throughout the surrounding counties of Tipperary and Limerick.
