MAGEOUGH

Mageough is a not-for-profit charitable organisation founded in 1878 under the terms of the Elizabeth Mageough Trust. Based in the peaceful Rathmines area of Dublin, it provides purpose-built accommodation and support for older people who wish to live independently in a sheltered, community-focused environment. The residential complex comprises 36 well-maintained houses - twenty-four one-bedroom and twelve two-bedroom units - set within extensive, manicured gardens.

Beyond comfortable housing, Mageough offers a range of resident-centred services. A resident chaplain leads weekly worship and provides pastoral care, while the on-site Manager oversees day-to-day operations. The Care Supervisor works closely with residents, offering advice, education and lifestyle support to help maintain their independence; nursing care is not part of the provision. Together, these elements create a supportive, vibrant community where older adults can feel secure, engaged and at home.
