Darraglynn Nursing Home is a family‑run, single‑storey residential care facility serving the Douglas community in County Cork since 1986. With 26 purpose‑built beds, the home provides 24‑hour nursing care in a warm, homely setting, catering for long‑term residents, respite placements and convalescent patients. The emphasis is on person‑centred care that respects each individual’s dignity, privacy and independence, while offering a varied programme of activities to promote mental well‑being and social engagement.

The modern complex includes a state‑of‑the‑art extension completed in 2016, adding ten new bedrooms, a treatment room, nurses’ station, staff facilities and an enclosed garden. All staff are fully qualified, with Health Care Assistants holding FETAC Level 5 credentials and ongoing training in health‑ and safety, manual handling, first aid and food hygiene. Under the clinical leadership of Director of Clinical Operations Vipin Karata, the home maintains the highest standards of compassionate, high‑quality support for its residents and their families.
