Company Description
Rural Animal Welfare Resources (RAWR) CLG is a volunteer-run charity dedicated to promoting responsible animal care across the south-west of West Cork. By offering free or subsidised neutering vouchers for both feral and owned cats and dogs, RAWR tackles the over-population of companion animals and reduces the need for euthanasia. Their core programmes include a Trap-Neuter-Return (TNR) scheme for feral cats, a voucher system that helps owners afford early neutering, and a community-focused charity shop whose proceeds fund these initiatives.
In addition to the TNR and voucher schemes, RAWR provides practical advice on pet care, supports re-homing of vaccinated and neutered animals, and runs a gallery showcasing the work of its volunteers. All activities are coordinated by unpaid volunteers who also manage fundraising, animal transport, home visits and legal or financial guidance. Based in Bantry, Co. Cork, RAWR serves the wider West Cork area, offering a compassionate, grassroots solution to animal welfare challenges.
