Company Description
Addergoole Titanic Society is a community-driven heritage organisation dedicated to preserving and sharing the story of the fourteen men and women from Addergoole who embarked on the RMS Titanic in April 1912. Based in the parish of Addergoole in north-Mayo, the Society curates a range of commemorative projects, from the Addergoole Titanic Memorial Park to the striking Titanic-themed stained-glass windows that adorn the local church.
The Society's core activities centre on education and remembrance. It organises cultural weeks, tea dances, bell-ringing events and exhibitions that draw visitors from across Ireland and abroad. Notable programmes have included the 2012 Titanic Centenary Cultural Week, which attracted over 12 500 attendees, and a series of press-covered artefact displays. Through sponsorships such as A.T.S. Donations and the Mayo Connection, the Society also supports research, heritage preservation and community events that keep the legacy of the "Ship of Dreams" alive for future generations.
