COTTAGE HOME CHILD AND FAMILY SERVICES

Cottage Home Child and Family Services is a long-standing voluntary organisation that has been supporting children and families in the south County Dublin area for more than 145 years. Originating in 1879 as Ireland's first crèche, the service quickly expanded to meet the growing needs of families, evolving into a comprehensive provider of both day-nursery care and residential care for children.

Today the charity delivers high-quality child-care programmes, ranging from early-years crèche provision to fully registered residential placements. All residential services are overseen by the Alternative Care Registration Inspection and Monitoring Service and the Health Information and Quality Authority, ensuring rigorous standards of safety and wellbeing. As a member of Social Care Ireland, Cottage Home works collaboratively with the wider social-care sector to promote the best outcomes for the children and families it serves.
