International Hemp Building Association (IHBA) is a global, not-for-profit organisation founded in 2009 to champion the development, promotion and sustainable use of hemp-based construction materials and their by-products. By gathering knowledge from innovators, architects, contractors, academics and suppliers, the IHBA works to disseminate best-practice information, influence policy and build the infrastructure needed for a thriving international hemp building industry.

The association's core activities centre on its flagship International Hemp Building Symposiums, held annually in different regions since 2009. These three-day events combine expert presentations, hands-on demonstrations and networking opportunities, with the 13th edition marking the first U.S. symposium in Morton, Minnesota. Members gain exclusive access to a rich library of over 150 archived presentations, the IHBA Hemp Building Best Practice Guide and a members-only portal that houses past symposium materials and newsletters. The IHBA also provides free information downloads and supports a vibrant community of natural builders and entrepreneurs worldwide.
