SPIRITAN ASYLUM SERVICES INITIATIVE

Spirasi - the Spiritan Asylum Services Initiative - is Ireland's national centre dedicated to the rehabilitation of survivors of torture. Working with asylum seekers and refugees who have endured severe trauma, Spirasi provides a holistic model of care that helps individuals rebuild their lives, regain confidence and integrate into Irish society.

The organisation delivers a range-up of specialist services, including trauma-informed rehabilitation programmes, education and vocational training, and professional development for practitioners through its training courses. To date more than 7,500 survivors have accessed Spirasi's rehabilitation services and over 2,800 have taken part in its education programmes. Spirasi also collaborates with a network of partners and alliances to extend its impact and offers clear pathways for referrals and donations, ensuring that survivors receive the support they need.

Based in Ireland and operating nationwide, Spirasi combines expert care, community-focused education and strong advocacy to give survivors of torture a positive, hopeful future.
