COMHAR is a dedicated Irish‑language publisher that champions contemporary writing across a range of genres. Operating through its online hub, the organisation provides access to its diverse publications and ongoing projects, serving writers, scholars and readers who wish to engage with Irish literature and research.

Among its flagship offerings are Leabhair COMHAR, launched in 2009 to nurture journalism and new‑writing in Irish, and COMHAR Taighde, an annual, peer‑reviewed academic journal produced by a team of scholars from Irish and overseas institutions. The latest edition, number 10 (2024), is freely available online. COMHAR also curates the Portraits of Irish Writers series – a richly illustrated, multimedia archive that currently features 190 contemporary authors and is continually expanded. For younger audiences, COMHAR Óg delivers a vibrant literary and arts magazine created in partnership with primary‑school pupils.
