IRISH ASSOCIATION FOR PALLIATIVE CARE

The Irish Association for Palliative Care (IAPC) is the leading voice for palliative-care professionals in Ireland. Governed by an elected Board and chaired by a senior practitioner, the association brings together doctors, nurses, pharmacists, ethicists and other specialists to champion patient-centred, equitable and universally accessible palliative services.

IAPC delivers a suite of specialist forums-including Education and Research, Ethics, Nursing and Pharmacy-offering members regular opportunities for networking, learning and the exchange of evidence-based practice. Through conferences, workshops and its flagship annual Education and Research Seminar, the organisation provides high-quality education, publishes guidance and influences national policy to improve care standards.

Based in Dublin, IAPC serves a nationwide community of hospice and palliative-care teams, supporting services from the north to the south and west of the island. Its collaborative approach ensures that practitioners across Ireland can share expertise, develop research, and advocate for policies that uphold dignity and quality of life for patients and families facing life-limiting illness.
