SAFETYNET PRIMARY CARE

Safetynet Primary Care is a values-driven health-care organisation dedicated to delivering high-quality primary services to Ireland's most marginalised and socially excluded groups. By breaking down barriers of language, location, culture and circumstance, the service places patients at the centre of care, shaping provision around their needs rather than forcing them to fit existing systems.

The organisation offers a comprehensive suite of services, including open-access clinics, a specialist Homeless Primary Care Team, a mobile health and screening unit, a National Transit Centre Clinic, residential treatment services and dedicated psychology clinics. In addition, Safetynet operates a Medical Record Network that links patient information across its various sites, ensuring continuity of care. In 2024 the team provided nearly 15,000 consultations and delivered almost 6,000 interventions to homeless adults and children, while its new psychology clinic supported over 170 individuals from 36 nationalities.

Through community-led innovation and genuine partnership, Safetynet Primary Care serves clients across Ireland, working closely with partners such as the Capuchin Day Centre to reach more than 3,000 people experiencing homelessness. The organisation's impact is reflected in heartfelt patient testimonials and a growing reputation for compassionate, accessible health care.
