Youth Advocate Programmes Ireland (YAP Ireland) is a charitable company limited by guarantee that works to change the lives of children, young people and families who are at high risk of entering care, secure settings or custody. Using a needs-led, strengths-focused approach, YAP delivers intensive, community-based support - up to 15 hours a week for six months - to help young people and their families overcome inter-connected challenges in the home, education, peer groups and the wider community.

The organisation offers a suite of specialised services, including an Intensive Support Main Programme, Family Support Programme, Disability Support Service, Mental Health Advocacy, Irish Youth Justice assistance, Crisis Intervention, an Out-of-Hours Service and an After-care Support Programme. These wrap-around interventions are designed to empower participants, give them a voice in shaping services, and foster confidence and connection within their local communities. With a growing network of YAP Advocates and active hubs such as the newly opened centre in Navan, YAP Ireland serves families across the country, striving toward a society where every child and young person feels supported and valued.
