CUNAMH IVERAGH COMPANY LIMITED BY GUARANTEE

Cúnamh Iveragh is a community-driven organisation based in South West Kerry that provides a supportive home environment for children and young adults with special intellectual needs. Founded by parents and friends of these young people, the charity's core aim is to keep essential services and accommodation within the local area, giving families the choice to remain close to home.

The group is currently finalising the purchase of an eight-bedroom house in Caherciveen, which will operate as a day-centre for activities, therapy and social programmes, and will later serve as a residential home for those who require full-time care. In addition to its direct care facilities, Cúnamh Iveragh organises community events and fundraising activities - from the Ring of Kerry charity cycle to local Pride of Parish shows and the Flora Women's Mini Marathon - to raise awareness and secure the resources needed to sustain its services.

Through these initiatives, Cúnamh Iveragh creates a safe, happy and inclusive environment, ensuring that young people with special needs can thrive while remaining rooted in their own community.
