LEAVE NO TRACE (IRELAND)

Leave No Trace Ireland is a national environmental education charity dedicated to safeguarding Ireland's outdoor spaces for present and future generations. By combining research, outreach and hands-on training, the organisation equips anyone who ventures into the countryside - from casual walkers to seasoned adventurers - with the knowledge and skills to minimise their impact on wildlife, vegetation, water resources, cultural heritage, soil and social wellbeing.

The charity's core services include bespoke training programmes delivered by a team of 46 Advanced Leave No Trace Trainers, an Ambassador Programme centred on iconic sites such as Croagh Patrick, and corporate initiatives that help businesses embed responsible outdoor practices. Members and core partners collaborate with Leave No Trace Ireland to run workshops, events and seasonal campaigns, most notably the "Love This Place Promise", which encourages the public to pledge to leave natural areas pristine.

Through its research, education and community-driven projects, Leave No Trace Ireland works across the island to reduce the pressures of growing recreational use, fostering a healthier, more vibrant outdoor environment for all.
