Médecins Sans Frontières (MSF) Ireland is an independent humanitarian medical organisation that delivers life‑saving care wherever the need is greatest. From the frontlines of Gaza to the remote villages of South Sudan, from the chaotic streets of Bel Air in Haiti to the Mediterranean migration routes, MSF teams provide emergency treatment, surgery, mental‑health support and nutrition programmes to civilians whose lives are threatened by war, natural disasters, deadly epidemics and chronic hunger.

Funded primarily by private donors rather than governments, MSF remains neutral and impartial – it does not take sides in conflicts and offers free medical assistance regardless of a person’s ethnicity, religion or political affiliation. The Irish branch supports a wide range of specialist interventions, including HIV prevention in the Democratic Republic of Congo, diabetes care for children in South Sudan, and rapid‑response rescue operations aboard the newly refitted vessel Oyvon.
