The Skellig Foundation is a charitable organisation dedicated to fostering bold educational and research initiatives across science, political science and the arts. By linking visionary individuals and fellow foundations, it creates and funds projects that promote long-term community sustainability and deepen public understanding of climate change and its societal impacts.

Key programmes include the Skellig Visiting Fellowship, which financially enables young scholars to attend workshops and courses, and the Skellig Sessions, a series of gatherings designed to spark innovation and collaborative thinking. Through the Leonardo DaVinci Project (2024-2025), the Foundation will award a number of small "matching" partnership grants to support initiatives tackling climate, biodiversity and nature-restoration challenges. In addition, it raises funding for international workshop programmes that allow emerging scholars to exchange ideas and inspire bold solutions.
