DUBLIN NORTH EAST DRUGS & ALCOHOL TASK FORCE

Dublin North East Drugs & Alcohol Task Force is one of twenty-four regional task forces across the Republic, acting as an umbrella organisation that coordinates drug and alcohol services throughout the Dublin North East catchment area. By bringing together a wide network of providers-including family-resource services, youth-justice projects, drug-intervention teams and play-therapy programmes-the Task Force ensures that individuals, families and practitioners can access a cohesive, community-focused response to substance-related challenges.

Key initiatives include the Boxing Clever Programme, which equips young people with life-skills and resilience, and the annual Recovery Month campaign that raises awareness and promotes recovery pathways. The Task Force also delivers specialist training such as the Parents Under Pressure (PUP) programme for practitioners, a €1,200-valued course offered at no cost to the region. Through projects like the Dales Centre, Donnycarney Drug & Alcohol Service and the Kilbarrack Coast Community Programme, the organisation provides a comprehensive safety net for those affected by drugs and alcohol in Dublin's north-east communities.
