Company Description
Cabra For Youth CLG is a community‑based, independent youth organisation founded in 2008 to work directly with young people living in the greater Cabra area. Funded by the City of Dublin Youth Services and the Department of Justice, the charity focuses on supporting those who are at risk, vulnerable or marginalised, helping them to overcome the effects of social and cultural disadvantage.
The service portfolio centres on three core programmes. The Youth Service offers a safe, welcoming space where participants can access a range of activities, advice and personal development opportunities. The Step Up Youth Diversion Project provides targeted intervention for young people involved with the justice system, aiming to divert them from further offending. The Listen Project creates a confidential environment for young people to share their experiences and receive emotional support. Together, these programmes are designed to promote active participation, resilience and positive pathways for Cabra’s youth.
Cabra For Youth operates from two local hubs – the Parkside Sports & Community Centre and St Bernard’s Youth Hub – both situated in Cabra, Dublin 7. The dedicated team of youth workers, justice coordinators and administrators works collaboratively to ensure that every young person in the community feels heard, valued and empowered.
