Company Description
Cork Dog Action Welfare Group (DAWG) is a Cork-based charitable organisation dedicated to rescuing abandoned, abused and neglected dogs and finding them permanent, loving homes. Each year the group saves close to 1,000 dogs, and to date more than 10,724 have been re-homed through its adoption programme. Currently 27 dogs are available for adoption, each offering "unlimited free licks and tail wags" to prospective families.
DAWG's work is underpinned by a network of volunteers who foster, promote and support the dogs, and by the generosity of donors who contribute one-off or regular gifts. The charity provides clear guidance on how the public can help - from fostering to spreading the word on social media - and highlights ten practical ways to make a difference in a dog's life. By combining rescue, rehabilitation and re-homing, DAWG creates lasting companionship for both dogs and the households that welcome them.
