SOCIOLOGICAL ASSOCIATION OF IRELAND COMPANY LIMITED BY GUARANTEE

The Sociological Association of Ireland (SAI) is the professional body that brings together sociologists, social researchers and students across the island. As a company limited by guarantee, the Association exists to support the discipline through a range of collaborative fora, from annual conferences and specialised study groups to a vibrant newsletter and the Irish Journal of Sociology. Members benefit from a strong community network, opportunities to present and peer-review research, and access to the Irish Society Podcast and the Sociological Observer, which showcase contemporary Irish social thought.

SAI's volunteer-run Executive Committee and ordinary members coordinate events, edit publications and foster links with secondary schools, postgraduate scholars and international colleagues. By mapping the social landscape, the Association aims to inform better politics, policy and public debate, making sociology a vital contributor to a more thoughtful and inclusive Irish society.
