INFECTIOUS DISEASES SOCIETY OF IRELAND (IDSI) COMPANY LIMITED BY GUARANTEE

The Infectious Diseases Society of Ireland (IDSI) is a professional, not-for-profit organisation that brings together clinicians, researchers and public-health experts dedicated to the study and management of infectious diseases across the island. IDSI coordinates national activities such as its annual scientific meeting - with abstract submissions opening on 12 January, closing on 18 March and acceptance notifications issued on 20 April - providing a platform for the latest research to be shared and discussed.

A core part of the society's work is the development and dissemination of clinical guidance, exemplified by its Outpatient Parenteral Antimicrobial Therapy (OPAT) Guidelines, which are available as a downloadable PDF for practitioners. Leadership from senior specialists, including Vice President Dr Arthur Jackson - a consultant physician with extensive experience in HIV care, antimicrobial stewardship and tropical medicine - underpins IDSI's commitment to education, stewardship and multi-centre research collaborations.

Through conferences, guideline publication and a vibrant community of experts, IDSI supports clinicians, hospitals and health-care organisations in delivering evidence-based, high-quality infectious-disease care throughout Ireland.
