ChildVision Company Limited by Guarantee is Ireland’s sole national service dedicated to children and young adults with visual impairment and additional disabilities. Drawing on more than a century and a half of experience, the organisation empowers its clients to reach their full potential through specialised education, therapy and residential care, fostering confidence and independence in every learner.

The charity offers a comprehensive suite of services. Its Pathways programme provides up to five years of life‑skills training for young adults aged 18‑23, while the Reading Services team transcribes thousands of textbooks each year into braille, large‑print, digital and tactile formats, including 3D imagery. The Clinical Services department delivers dynamic vision assessments and interventions for children aged 0‑18, ensuring accurate diagnosis and tailored support. Residential houses, available from Sunday to Friday evenings, give students aged 10‑23 a safe environment to develop independent living skills. A new indoor equine‑assisted activity centre, opened in memory of Jack de Bromhead, adds an innovative therapeutic option to the portfolio.
