Comhar na nOileán CTR is the integrated local-development organisation responsible for delivering the LEADER partnership programme to Ireland's inhabited offshore islands and the Three Peninsulas of West Cork. Established in 2008/2009 as part of the Department of Community, Rural and Gaeltacht Affairs' cohesion process, the company streamlines the administration of rural-development funding, ensuring that programmes are accessible to communities across the islands and western peninsular region.

The company manages the full suite of LEADER and Rural Social Scheme initiatives, providing information on eligibility, application forms and guidance on project funding. By acting as the single point of contact for the offshore island clusters, Comhar na nOileán helps local businesses, community groups and individuals turn ideas into sustainable projects, from tourism development to social infrastructure.

Operating from the Aran Islands in County Galway, Comhar na nOileán works closely with the Department of Rural and Community Development and the Island Council to promote balanced, community-led growth throughout Ireland's most remote coastal areas.
