Bagenalstown Swimming Club Company Limited by Guarantee is a community‑run organisation that offers a vibrant outdoor swimming experience each summer. Operating from early June to late August, the club’s heated pools sit beside the River Barrow in Bagenalstown, providing a safe and welcoming environment for swimmers of all ages and abilities.

The club’s programme includes regular swimming lessons, summer camps and water‑safety courses, ranging from beginner instruction to advanced rescue qualifications such as Safety 1 through Rescue 3, and training for both pool and river lifeguards. In addition, Bagenalstown Swimming Club hosts river races and galas—a tradition dating back to the early 1950s—allowing members to test their skills in friendly competition. A lively gallery of “Swimming Moments” showcases the fun and camaraderie that define the club’s atmosphere.
