SILVERBRIDGE KAYAK CLUB

Silverbridge Kayak Club (SBKC) is a community-driven paddling organisation drawing members from the Boyne Valley and beyond. The club organises weekly trips on the River Boyne, with additional outings across Ireland, the UK and Europe whenever water conditions allow. Whether you're interested in white-water kayaking, canoeing or sea kayaking, SBKC welcomes beginners and seasoned paddlers alike, offering a friendly environment and a strong emphasis on safety.

Members enjoy regular weekend paddles, mid-week meets and access to experienced river-knowledge holders who provide advice on kayaks, safety gear and river wear. The club supplies equipment on a deposit basis, runs beginner to advanced proficiency courses, and keeps everyone informed through group text alerts. Membership also includes affiliation with Canoeing Ireland, ensuring that paddlers are covered by recognised insurance. Open to all ages-juniors with a guardian, adults and seniors-SBKC promotes inclusive, year-round paddling for anyone comfortable in the water and able to swim at least 20 metres.
