The National German Shepherd Working Dog Association Company Limited by Guarantee – better known as GSA Ireland – is the recognised registry and champion of the German Shepherd Dog breed and its working‑dog sport throughout the island. As the Irish affiliate of the World Union of German Shepherd Dog Clubs (WUSV), the association brings together owners, breeders and enthusiasts under a single, nationally‑coordinated framework.

GSA Ireland administers the official Breed Book for German Shepherds in the country, maintains a comprehensive breed registry, and organises a calendar of trials, IGP competitions and other events that showcase the breed’s versatility and skill. Membership is organised through nine local “Ortsgruppen” covering the North, South, East and West of Ireland, providing a friendly community hub for training, information sharing and competition entry. The association also offers guidance on responsible breeding, dog‑sport participation and the preservation of breed standards.
