Company Description
The Ice Skating Association of Ireland (ISAI) is the national governing body for all ice-skating disciplines across the island. Incorporated in 2007 and overseen by an elected Board of Directors, the association sets the rules and regulations that underpin figure skating, speed skating and related activities, ensuring a safe and structured environment for athletes of every level.
ISAI delivers a range of services for members, from the Emerald Learn-to-Skate programme (including Level 2) to coaching and testing pathways for figure skaters. It also organises competitions and events, publishes news updates - such as the recent successes of McAnuff, O'Brien, Soucisse and Firus - and provides a central hub for communications with its community. Membership is open to individuals who meet the association's criteria, and all data handling complies with GDPR standards.
With a rich heritage that traces Irish ice-skating back to 12th-century bone skates uncovered in Dublin, ISAI celebrates the sport's past while driving its future, supporting athletes, coaches and enthusiasts throughout Ireland.
