BANDON AND DISTRICT BRASS AND REED BAND COMPANY LIMITED BY GUARANTEE

Bandon and District Brass and Reed Band Company Limited by Guarantee, better known as the Bandon Concert Band, is a community‑driven musical ensemble founded in 2002. Based in the town of Bandon, the group brings together players of brass, woodwind and percussion to rehearse weekly in the Town Hall and to perform at a wide range of local events – from the annual St Patrick’s Day parade and Christmas concerts to farmers’ markets, culture nights and festivals such as Engage and World Music Day.

The band also runs a structured tuition scheme in partnership with the Royal Irish Academy of Music, offering graded examinations for all ages and abilities. Whether a complete beginner or an experienced musician, members receive personalised instruction on a variety of instruments and become part of a vibrant, supportive community. Through regular concerts, public performances and educational outreach, the Bandon Concert Band enriches the cultural life of the district while fostering musical development across generations.
