Students NiteLine Listening Service Company Limited By Guarantee is a student-run, not-for-profit organisation that provides a confidential, 100 % anonymous listening and information service for higher-education students across Ireland. Operating every night of term from 21:00 to 02:30, NiteLine offers a safe space where callers can share any concern-big or small-without fear of judgement or directive advice. All calls are handled by trained volunteers who follow a rigorous screening and Samaritans-based training programme, ensuring a compassionate, non-directive response that respects privacy and anonymity.

The service is open to students from a wide network of partner colleges, including DBS, DCU, DkIT, IADT, MU, NCAD, RCSI, TCD, TU Dublin, UCC, UCD and UL, as well as their affiliates. In addition to the night-time helpline, NiteLine welcomes new volunteers, offers leadership development for student supporters, and invites colleges to become official partners. Based in Dublin, the organisation is driven by peer support, student empowerment and a commitment to inclusivity, making it a trusted mental-health resource for the Irish student community.
