NORTH OFFALY COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT NETWORK COMPANY LIMITED BY GUARANTEE

North Offaly Community Development Network CLG is a charity-registered company limited by guarantee that works to strengthen the social fabric of the North Offaly area. From its main office in the historic Old School in Daingean, the network supports local communities to identify their own priorities and to engage the relevant agencies, ensuring that development initiatives are truly community-led.

In partnership with Pobal's Community Services Programme, the organisation delivers a range of direct services to older and vulnerable residents, helping them remain independent at home. Core provisions include Meals on Wheels, regular home visits, home and garden maintenance, personal monitored alarms and a variety of bespoke supports on request. These services are co-ordinated with local groups and rely heavily on the dedication of volunteers and a voluntary board of directors.

The quality of its work was recognised nationally when North Offaly Community Development Network won the Overall National Community Category in the 2018 National Lottery Good Causes Awards. Backed by the Department of Rural and Community Development and Pobal, the network continues to champion inclusive, locally driven development across North Offaly.
