Irish Book Awards Limited is the organisation behind the An Post Irish Book Awards, the nation's premier celebration of contemporary Irish writing. Each year the Awards recognise excellence across a wide range of categories - from the overall Book of the Year to specialist prizes such as Crime Fiction, Children's Book (Junior and Senior), Biography, History and the new An Post Bookshop of the Year. The programme also supports emerging talent through the IBA Scholarship, New Voices initiative and the New Irish Writing short-story and poetry awards.

The Awards operate on a unique hybrid model that combines a panel of industry judges with the Irish Voting Academy - a public voting system that invites readers nationwide to champion their favourite titles. Key milestones include the shortlist launch in October, a gala ceremony in Dublin's Convention Centre, and a televised awards special on RTÉ One.
