The Mercy University Hospital Cork Foundation Company Limited by Guarantee is a charitable organisation dedicated to supporting Mercy University Hospital and the patients it serves across Cork and beyond. By mobilising donors, fundraisers, local businesses and community volunteers, the Foundation raises vital resources that enhance clinical services, patient experience and outcomes – from funding clinical psycho‑oncology appointments to producing thousands of information booklets for families.

In 2023 the Foundation secured more than €2.8 million from its generous supporters, enabling a range of life‑changing initiatives. Its fundraising portfolio includes high‑profile events such as the Mercy Foundation Golf Classic, Christmas Jumper Day, the Mercy Stars Awards, and community challenges like the Echo Women’s Mini Marathon and the inaugural Mercy Camino. These activities not only generate funds but also raise awareness of the hospital’s needs and celebrate the unsung heroes who deliver world‑class care.
