EDMUND RICE INTERNATIONAL

Edmund Rice International (ERI) is a global network of trade unions, activists, academics and educators dedicated to promoting social justice, human rights and ecological sustainability. Drawing on the legacy of the Edmund Rice tradition, ERI amplifies the voices of students, youth ambassadors and civil-society partners at the United Nations and other international fora, delivering statements, policy submissions and advocacy campaigns on issues ranging from climate action to debt cancellation.

The organisation's core activities include organising workshops that support Universal Periodic Review submissions for countries such as Liberia and Sierra Leone, convening the ERI Global Schools' Meets for over a hundred educators and students worldwide, and producing research-informed commentary that is featured on platforms from Swiss television to UN high-level panels. ERI also collaborates with like-minded coalitions-such as the Justice Coalition of Religious organisations-to influence decisions at the Human Rights Council, the High-Level Political Forum and climate conferences like COP 30.

Through these initiatives, Edmund Rice International serves a diverse, international constituency of young people, educators and human-rights advocates, offering a trusted platform for collective action and a powerful voice for a more equitable, sustainable world.
