Childhood Development Initiative (CDI) is a small not-for-profit organisation based in Fettercairn, Tallaght, Dublin 24, with a national reach across Ireland. Its core mission is to ensure that every child thrives by working closely with families, schools and community partners to deliver evidence-informed services and innovative programmes.

CDI's portfolio includes accredited training and consultancy for professionals - covering conflict resolution, parental engagement, speech and language development and more - all CPD-accredited and EIQA-approved. It also runs restorative-practices courses that help organisations build harmonious, resilient environments, and offers specialised toolkits such as the School Avoidance Toolkit and the Community Research Toolkit to support practitioners and community groups. Through its Erasmus+ STEAM collaboration, CDI is embedding robotics and other cutting-edge technologies into Irish classrooms, while initiatives like Dolly Parton's Imagination Library provide free books to children aged 0-5. Additional resources, such as the Support Pathways guide for children with additional needs, further demonstrate CDI's commitment to holistic, child-centred support.
