Rathoe Community Hub Company Limited By Guarantee operates Rathoe Community Childcare, a warm, inclusive early years and after-school centre serving families in the village of Rathoe, directly opposite Scoil Phadraig National School. Since its beginnings as an after-school service in 2006, the hub now offers a full-time preschool programme (ECCE/NCS/Private) across two purpose-designed rooms - the Rainbow Room for children aged 2 years 8 months to 3 years 6 months, and the Butterfly Room for 4- to 5-year-olds - together with flexible wrap-around care, a daily breakfast club and a comprehensive after-school service for junior infants to sixth class. Seasonal full-day camps run from 9 am to 4 pm throughout the year, providing extra enrichment during holidays.

The centre's curriculum is built around Natural Play-Based learning, aligning with the Aistear Early Childhood Curriculum Framework. Children explore both indoor and outdoor environments, with a spacious garden featuring a mud kitchen, sand pit, sensory garden, vegetable patch and water play area, all designed to foster physical health, creativity, early maths, literacy and scientific curiosity. Progress is documented through photographic learning stories displayed on classroom walls and compiled in each child's personal "Special Book", celebrating individual milestones and encouraging lifelong confidence and resilience.
