Mothers First Company Limited By Guarantee is a charitable organisation founded in 2004 with a clear mission: empower mothers to build stronger, more resilient families. By delivering targeted food and medicine baskets to over 210 pregnant and malnourished mothers each month, the charity works to raise birth-weight and improve early child health. Mothers who meet international malnutrition criteria are identified through weight and height measurements, receive monthly support throughout pregnancy and for the first three months after delivery, and have their infants' growth closely monitored.

The organisation's programmes span three regions. In India, the focus is on increasing birth weight through sustained nutritional interventions. In Somiland, a community of 600 households benefits from a birthing centre, micro-loan schemes for women-led households, and water-and-sanitation projects that respond directly to local needs. In Kenya, similar community-driven initiatives, including "listening tents" and small-business loans, complement the core nutrition work. Through these integrated efforts, Mothers First is helping hundreds of families break the cycle of malnutrition and achieve lasting wellbeing.
