THE CHILDREN'S EDUCATIONAL DEVELOPMENT FUND COMPANY LIMITED BY GUARANTEE

The Children's Educational Development Fund (CEDF) is a non-governmental, non-profit organisation founded in 2007 that works to support, educate and empower children and young people living in Uganda. Through sustainable education, medical care and income-generating programmes, CEDF tackles pressing challenges such as under-nutrition, child labour and domestic violence, helping vulnerable youths build brighter futures.

Key initiatives include the Student Enterprise Ireland (SEI) Africa programme, which links Irish students with entrepreneurial projects on the ground; the "School-in-a" scheme, aimed at purchasing and equipping three modular classrooms; and a range of volunteer programmes that assist local teachers, develop infrastructure and promote renewable energy solutions. CEDF also runs targeted projects such as electricity installations for schools and health-care support for children affected by HIV/AIDS.

Operating from its Dublin base, CEDF relies on the generosity of supporters and volunteers to deliver its life-changing projects across Uganda, fostering lasting impact for the next generation.
