Company Description
Crawford Art Gallery is a national cultural institution based in the heart of Cork city, entrusted with the care of more than 3,500 artworks from Ireland's National Collection. The gallery's holdings span 18th-century Irish and European painting and sculpture, as well as contemporary media such as video installations, offering visitors a rich dialogue between historic and modern art.
While the historic building is undergoing a major redevelopment project - "Transforming Crawford Art Gallery" - the institution remains active through an off-site Learn & Explore programme, touring exhibitions, and a fully digital online collection. These initiatives allow schools, families, teens and adult audiences to engage with the collection wherever they are, and keep the gallery's educational and community-focused mission thriving during the temporary closure.
Crawford Art Gallery continues to curate special events, fellowship awards and collaborative projects, ensuring that art and ideas meet across the centuries for audiences across Ireland and beyond.
