VINCENTIAN LAY MISSIONARIES

Vincentian Lay Missionaries (VLM) is a volunteer-sending charity that partners with the Vincentian Fathers, the Daughters of Charity and other members of the Vincentian Family to support projects across Africa. By recruiting and preparing volunteers, VLM enables individuals to work side-by-side with local communities in education, health, community development and sustainable-livelihoods initiatives, ensuring that assistance respects cultural traditions and tackles the root causes of poverty.

Through fundraising activities such as raffles, church collections and an online shop, VLM has delivered tangible impact: a new bus for St Catherine Laboure School in Tanzania, houses for families in rural Kenya, and a kitchen/dining room for a school in Thigio. Guided by the values of justice and peace, solidarity, partnership and global citizenship, VLM volunteers act as mission partners, helping communities lead and develop their own solutions while promoting the Gospel's call to serve the poor.
