Company Description
Cork Mental Health Foundation / Housing Association is Ireland's longest-established mental-health charity, founded in 1962. Based in Cork, the voluntary organisation works to empower people experiencing mental-health difficulties through a blend of community-based projects, supportive housing and education programmes.
The foundation delivers evidence-based community initiatives that promote positive mental wellbeing, while its Housing Association provides quality social housing to enable independent living for those with mental-health challenges. In the education sector, the charity runs a primary-school programme that reaches over 8,000 fifth- and sixth-class pupils each year, teaching young people about mental health and resilience. In addition, Cork Mental Health organises events and fund-raising activities, and offers a range of resources and volunteer opportunities for the wider community.
Through these combined efforts the charity distributes more than €20,000 in direct assistance annually, fostering greater awareness, support and empowerment for individuals and families across Cork and the wider Irish community.
