Company Description
The Irish Architecture Foundation (IAF) is a national cultural organisation dedicated to connecting people with architecture across Ireland. For two decades the charity has championed the power of the built environment to shape lives, culture and communities, delivering festivals, exhibitions, learning programmes and placemaking projects that invite the public to explore how architecture influences the places we live, learn, work and play.
IAF's flagship events include Open House Dublin, a city-wide celebration of architecture and urban design, and The Reason of Towns, a touring exhibition that sparks conversation about the past, present and future of Irish towns. Its community-led initiatives such as Bog Bothy focus on climate-action and peatland design, while Architects in Schools empowers secondary-school students to voice their ideas for the built future. The gapLab programme supports graduate architects to experiment, innovate and share new thinking with wider audiences.
Through these diverse activities, IAF serves audiences and professionals throughout the Republic, fostering a more informed, engaged and inclusive relationship with the built environment.
