MIDLAND ENERGY TRAINING AND ASSESSMENT CENTRE LIMITED

Midland Energy Training and Assessment Centre (METAC) is Ireland's largest specialist training hub for the energy and building-services sectors, delivering practical, nationally recognised courses to around 3,500 learners each year. With realistic training facilities, METAC equips participants with the hands-on skills required by today's modern workforce, and its programmes are independently certified by SOLAS, QQI, City & Guilds, BLUEflame, Bord Gáis, OFTEC and other recognised bodies.

The centre offers a broad portfolio of courses across several disciplines. In the gas arena, learners can study Domestic Gas Safety; oil training includes OFTEC Domestic and Commercial Oil as well as Fault Finding. Renewable-energy modules cover heat-pump technology and solar photovoltaic systems, while electrical courses span verification, certification and minor-works safety. Additional specialisations comprise solid-fuel stove installation, ARC/MIG/TIG welding, building-technology topics such as electrofusion and power-flushing, and certified business skills ranging from IT to special-needs assistance. Evening classes also cater to creative interests, with options like digital photography, dog grooming and beauty-care.
