Shannon Athletic Club Company Limited By Guarantee, founded in 1969, is a community-focused athletics organisation that welcomes participants from the age of seven upwards. Based in Shannon, County Clare, the club provides a structured pathway for athletes of all abilities, from Little Athletics for youngsters aged 7-10 through to Junior, Senior and Masters programmes for athletes over 20.

Training sessions run throughout the week, with dedicated slots for children, teens and adults, including a ladies-only evening on Fridays. Members can develop across a full range of disciplines - sprints, long-distance and cross-country running, race walking, as well as throws (discus, shot put, weight, javelin, with a Turbo Javelin for the younger cohort) and jumps (long and high jump). All coaches are accredited through Athletics Ireland and adhere to the highest standards for children's sport, ensuring a safe and supportive environment.
