YOUNG SOCIAL INNOVATORS

Young Social Innovators (YSI) is a national youth-led organisation that empowers 13- to 18-year-olds in post-primary schools and further-education settings to tackle real-world social challenges. Through its flagship Activate programme, YSI delivers a structured social-innovation experience for Transition Year and Youthreach students, guiding them from idea generation to implementation. The organisation also offers fast-paced 10-hour "Sprints", a free self-paced online course with certification, and a vibrant Youth Panel that gives 15-24-year-olds a voice in shaping projects and campaigns.

In addition to direct programmes for young people, YSI supports educators with training, world-class resources and a dedicated Learning and Practice Team. It collaborates with partners across diverse sectors, helping businesses harness the fresh perspective of youth as a source of value. The impact of its work is showcased in annual reports, award ceremonies and a growing library of social-innovation stories, highlighting the creative solutions young people devise for community, environmental and societal issues throughout Ireland.
